Beginning in 2005, phase one of the East London Line extension began, connecting north and south London, with the new line estimated to move 35.4 million passengers each year.
High traffic areas require a material that is durable and robust yet aesthetically pleasing; stainless steel does exactly that whilst providing an unrivalled longevity.
At Hoxton Station, Rimex supplied approx. 6 tonnes of 0.8mm 316 stainless steel in a BA Linen finish. This was then bonded onto an aluminium honeycomb system to create an optical flatness along with additional strength for each panel.
Product used: 316 BA Canvas with Architectural Blast.
