SuperMirror sphere on staircase

The Young V and A, London

Cambridge Heath Rd, Bethnal Green, London E2 9PA, England, United Kingdom

Collecting childhood-related objects since 1872, the recently refurbished Young V&A Museum in London’s Bethnal Green (formerly the V&A Museum of Childhood) has created a lighter and brighter home for these treasured items.

One of the focal points to this new space is the helter-skelter staircase with a SuperMirror sphere at its heart, creating a play on light and drawing the visitor upwards.

Fabricated from 1.5mm, 304 grade stainless steel, the SuperMirror finish is as near a perfect mirror polish that can be produced on stainless steel. It is a great alternative to glass mirror, as it does not shatter.

Product used: Rimex 304 SuperMirror.
