The façade is a mixture of 0.8mm Bronze 6WL in 316 grade material face fixed to the roof and front elevation with Bronze Canvas used to the side elevations of the building. Whilst at the time of the opening, debate was provoked by the project as to what the material used was, it is ColourTex® stainless steel. This, being the result of a light interference effect, changes in appearance with ambient light conditions and angle of inspection so it can appear very dark bronze or a light sandy tone at different times.
The theme is carried inside with 304 Bronze Pearl being used to vertical surfaces and ceiling areas.
This building, which is located in a bay, was opened in 2004 and remains a great reference for Rimex and stainless steel.
Products used: 316 Bronze 6WL, 316 Bronze Canvas, 304 Bronze Pearl.
